According to Rob Moseley and other sources, LS may transfer due to playing time. He wants to play and he's good enough to play on many teams. Just not on this Oregon team. He's anywhere from 3-5 on the depth chart. He was an oustanding 5 * recruit and wants to play. Understandable. I wish him the best.

Ttlong, are you saying Lache lied? He wasn't truthful? All inner-circle sources say this is 100% playing time and depth based, but are you attacking the integrity of a great kid and his entire family? You are becoming a bitter, pathetic and lowly POS on these boards.

Ttlong is just looking to provoke a reaction. Just ignore him.

Tlong thus far fails the maturity test.

If this is true, it's exactly what I was worried about when LMJ stayed for another year. And now with DAT on the team I'm sure Seastrunk was looking at how many touches he was going to get and said "fuck it, I'm out".

By some reports Lache has been outplayed by others other than DAT, LMJ and Kenjon and even another player who I cant remember his name. He might not have been cut out for it here. BEst of luck to him unless he plays us.

I guess to further explain my comment it.. he could have been looking at touches.. but he also could have looked at it as "I'm not gonna beat any of these guys out, so "F it I'm out"

Makes sense. He's a potential starter at Baylor. At Oregon, he might find himself as a 4th stringer. De*Thomas has been tearing up the practice field.

Wish Lache the best.

Not enough room for his talent. Got beat out by another freshman in the depth chart. So much promise by the UO staff to join the team but not enough room. That's what happens on a program more in the spotlight in recent years.

Bummer. All the hype, and he never even gets a touch in a game. We've all heard about De'Anthony tearing up camp, but he's 160 lbs. How can he be an every down back? I mean, LaMichael is undersized big time, but his strength and heart make up for his lack of size. And he's 185 lbs!! Thomas looks more like a scat back to me. So what happens when LaMichael leaves after the season? I just assumed Lache would step in as a Soph. and be the guy and Thomas his back up. There's plenty of carries to go around in this offense. That could have been a special tandem.

Players shouldnt be given the keys just because of how many stars they had next to their name leaving high school. You gotta earn it in college. I think Seastrunk thought Oregon owed him something by him choosing them.

It was posted on a blog that he wasn't understanding the offense and was currently #5 on the depth chart. Can't say as I blame him. I wish him well.

If that's true, that's pretty sad. I mean, if L. Blount can learn this offense . . . really, it's not that intricate of a playbook. It's repetition and speed.

In addition to his willingness to be closer to home, Seastrunk had also appeared to have been passed on the running back depth chart by incoming freshmen De'Anthony Thomas and Tra Carson, as well as redshirt freshman walk-on, Ayele Forde, making Seastrunk the projected sixth stringer in the Oregon backfield. After practice, Ducks running backs coach Gary Campbell seemed to suggest this had as much to do with Seastrunk's transfer as Seastrunk's desire be closer to his grandmother.

"Most guys who aren't up in the top of the depth chart think about going somewhere else and taking their talents elsewhere," added Campbell.

To be fair to Blount, he was pretty sharp. I sat next to him in a number of classes and the only thing I concluded was poor judgment in his case.

Am I going to anger everyone by pointing everyone out that technically Greg Oden has been a better bargain than Seastrunk?

Well this really bums me out. I wanted to at least see the guy get some burn in a game.

Looking at next year, our embarrassment of riches turns into a position of concern maybe? I am sure we can pull at least one decent back in this recruiting cycle. But looking at next year (Yes I will still enjoy this year) we are one Kenjon Injury from relying on two possible RS Freshman or at least one True SO and a RS Freshman.

glad that tlongII's puke was cleaned up before I came in and saw the big news

160 was his weight his Sr. season in HS. The Ducks did their weigh ins recently and a lot of guys listings changed. D'AT is up to 173. LaMike was 180 last year and came in 195 this. See the trend as guys get older? And they don't need him to be every down as they have a stable of capable backs including fellow 227 lb. frosh Tra Carson who broke LJ's HS records at the same school.

the other possibility is that the other guys are pretty decent too.

Yes Canzano, we get it. We're the worst fans and the U of O is a horrible program.

I don't click the clown's links because I don't want to validate his BS, care to summarize the drivel?

Basically he was just calling UO fans scum for being pissed at Lache for transferring. He's inferring that we think he sucks just because he wants to transfer.

Basically:

One minute - Seastrunk is god! He will make us a contender for sure!

Next minute - Seastrunk sucks! He's terrible and good riddance!

Thats a stupid way of thinking (not shooting you the messenger) sometimes 5* players arent cut out to be that, and it doesnt transfer over (no pun intended) Cam Colvin didnt start to really show any of his 5* Abilities until his senior year then he broke his foot 3 games into that season I think? Same game Jeremiah Johnson tore his ACL against WSU. Jemere Holland is another player whose God given talents didnt translate (though he wasnt 5*) As we've said, I wish Lache well and that he does well except when it affects the Ducks in any negative way :)

Well, it screams of a straw man that Canzano has created to sell papers.

exactly

I would agree with JC that we do have some of the worst/dumbest fans in the country... specifically those who continue to pay attention to him. How hard is it to catch on to the same lazy sensationalistic tactics used ad nausea and applied to all of our local teams? Clicking his links validates the negative crap coverage pumped day after day into something (following sports) most of us do for fun in our freetime. Why would intelligent fans help ensure that we continue to have this sort of backbiting media culture by feeding the clown? He's laughing in distain at us all the way to the bank

Is that Marshall kid coming to Eugene next year?

Well when you have LMJ for one more year, Barner for 2, and DAT coming in (who was apparently quite impressive and might have played over him anyway), I think you gotta look out for #1. This guy has all the talent in the world and should go somewhere where it can be used, instead of wasting it behind even more talented players on a team like Oregon.

This is a problem that all top teams have, and it is really a nice problem to have. De'Anthony Thomas seems like he will be better.

Wish Lache all the luck in the world.

Lache is going to claim hardship due his grandmother's illness and ask the NCAA if he can play this year.
