Man, unless Kupchak has some voodoo to work on other GMs around the league, I just don't see the Lakers being a top tier team with the second unit that they played last night:

Steve Blake,Troy Murphy, Jason Kapono, Devin Ebanks, & Make-ya Hurl Peas?

That group produced a grand total of 14 points as compared to 24 points by the Blazers' bench. That differential is just about equal to the Blazers' margin of victory.

I think the Lakers are really missing Odom's firepower from their second unit. I'm still scratching my head over that move.

I think many Laker fans are scratching their head too. Odom was one of the main reasons why they had a decent record last season. They need to find someone. Some think here in L.A., they are using that TE to equal Turk and they send Bynum and Artest for Howard.

I don't know if this move even helps them. They need a bench and they need it bad.

Turk helps them more then Artest would and Howard is just good enough for them to get into the playoffs at one of the last few seeds. Howard also makes a very bleak future if Bynum can't stay healthy very bright. Hell if they could get Howard it might be in there best interest to trade Pau for a few young players tank for a top 10 pick and pick one of the 5 insanely hyped PF's in this years draft and be a power house again in the last year of Kobe's contract.

On the TNT telecast they said that the Lakers call their bench the "Peace Corps". I immediately thought "Peace Corpse" was much more appropriate for those hacks.

Haha. Yeah LA fans would think that. Then they will get Deron Williams for Josh McRoberts.

Turk CANNOT fit in the trade exception they received. This was confirmed multiple times but Lakers homers are so delusional they assume they don’t have to follow trade rules.
