Exact same lol
This is like asking a black person "why is it always about race?".
It smacks of just not getting it. You and MANY in this country don't.
1. I didn't know Rich Paul was black until you, shockingly, brought race into the thread.Posted this in the other thread but it really belongs here:
LOL at all the Rich Paul haters...
Most of you have probably NEVER spoke up or said much negative about agents until him. He is doing nothing that hasn't been done before except being more public about it.
He's just young and black while doing it.
Being young, black, and outspoken causes public ire. Lots are mad just because got into being an agent by having a strong work ethic and a good relationship with Lebron.
Athletes for the most part cannot control their destinies. Play where you're drafted, play where you're traded to. People are hating because players are exhibiting a level of control on where they get to play.
I have some glasses for y'all:
![]()
Cases in point:
Kobe demanded a trade from the Lakers. Any talk about his agent? Shaq demanded a trade FROM LA to MIA. I don't even know his agent's name off top...
Kyrie Irving demanded a trade and people talked MAD SHIT about HIM and how stupid his decision was. Nothing about his agent who he just fired...
What about when Jimmy Butler demanded a trade? Folks were CLAMORING for us to get him... Not one word about his agent...
Paul George's trade demand was a "gut punch" in Kevin Prichard's words. "Paul George delivered "gut punch" to Pacers was the headline, NOT his agents. No mention of his agent in here either...
No one was really talking about Kawhi's agent when his infamous trade request was demanded. Nope. Only talking shit about Kawhi who made a GOOD CHOICE...
Le'Veon Bell sat out a whole NFL season (more than likely at the behest of his agent). Crickets about his agent.
I could go on but why:
Here's a list of very famous NBA players who demanded trades. NO TALK about Agents.
Chris Paul is now demanding a trade out of HOU. Is anyone gonna complain about his Agent?? Hell the fuck no. People in here WANT to see that breakup...
The selective outrage about Rich Paul is just that...
Aldridge played in Portland for 9 yearsFor the record, I wouldn't have known Paul had I walked past him on the street. When this started, I honestly had no clue as to his age, his race, or anything else about him.
As for Bazely - small market teams don't exist to be farm teams for the big market teams. Why should they spend his rookie deal developing him just so the Lakers (or whoever) can reap the benefits? I'm not happy with what LMA did, so why would I want Bazely?
You are the only one bringing race into this. This is like asking a black person "why is it always about race?".

Yet again.
This is about collusion.
If I’m Griffin I pull a “that’ll cost you Kuzma” lolRob Pelinka going back to Griffin with his tail between his legs to try to delay this deal is the most glorious thing ever. We should have no fear of him actually building a championship roster.
As I said earlier, amateur hour.
Well he is the only other piece they have left.If I’m Griffin I pull a “that’ll cost you Kuzma” lol
Well he is the only other piece they have left.
That’s funny but it’s actually 100% true.Couldn't agree more! For the record, I wouldn't have known Paul had I walked past him on the street. When this started, I honestly had no clue as to his age, his race, or anything else about him.

We ARE. I said as much that we should stay away from Bazley only because he's repped by Paul. Said the same about Ben Simmons earlier this year too.Yeah.. why are people talking shit about not drafting Bazely then? He's not going to LA...
Look, honestly, I don't really expect people to understand my reasoning.
Do you think that matters? Pierce was a Lakers fan and he is a Boston Celtic HOFer. It’s a job, not a fanboy thing lolReally quickly though, why would he want to go to the Lakers when he's from Boston. He likely hates the Lakers.
You could use this same "logic" about ANY player. EVERY player eventually becomes an unrestricted FA.

He played hs ball in LA area... Inglewood... just cause he was born in Oakland doesn’t mean he’s from there.Sigh... Paul Pierce is from Oakland CA.

He was raised there and moved to play roundball only.He played hs ball in LA area... Inglewood... just cause he was born in Oakland doesn’t mean he’s from there.

Wait I thought you said Bazley would hate the Lakers? I’m confused. I think it doesn’t matter where you’re from, it’s s job. And if his agent thinks it’s best to team up with other clients and leave his team, I have a problem.Sigh... You keep making my point... That's why he's an LA fan.
You're assuming that Bazely is an LA fan because of Lebron and AD.
That's flawed logic IMO.

I don’t think we’d be a lakers farm team but we could end up being a farm team for his clients.I said we should go after Bazely no matter if Paul is his agent. Some have been saying that's a reason to avoid him and that we'd be a farm team for the Lakers.
I don't agree with that logic.
So the best draft pick so far they got in the trade is Jaxon Hayes....
