I'm not sure yet but last I heard it was 50/50 that he survives as all of his organs are failing and probable brain damage. He is currently in a coma.

An excellent movie & IMO McQueen was very underated as an actor. Many don't realize that his acting career only lasted a short 20 years, but he had some great roles in that time.
