These large chains need to enact procedures to stop these things. First, assign someone to lock all the doors. Second, assign someone to call the police. Don't warn anyone, just enact the plan. Have all other employees identify who was shopping and not participating. Don't intervene, don't try to stop them. Let them do their damage. Arrest them and make their families pay restitution. Proscecute them to the full extent of the law. Once a couple of kids experience some dramatic sentencing, this fad will stop.

If you lock the doors the "youths" will just riot, get violent, hurt people inside the store. Run out the back exits, hide in warehouses, etc. And they all are in and out in 15 min or so.

I don't live in Troutdale. I live west of I-5, and go to the east side for the occasional Five Guys burger, or to go to the airport.
