Am I crazy for thinking his #'s will drop significantly with our recent addition and return of Brandon and Marcus.

If it results in us playing better and getting more wins then I won't care.

^But that's what it used to be. We were winning 50+ games and tons of people on here were KILLING LA for ONLY averaging 18/8! Killing him!

I don't think Wallace is going to take a lot of touches from LA, but with Roy there is probably going to be more balanced scoring. I hope Nate continues to work the ball through LA though. He has been a very good passer the last month. They need to run cutters more in the lane when LA is on the block.

People were killing Roy for averaging 23/5/5 on a 54-win team. Do you really take anything you read here from any "expert" seriously, HCP? It's all about shits and grins, IMO.

people like me were killin' LMA for getting 18/8 by sitting at the 18' mark and bombing away. Don't confuse the issue

apparently not.

I'm not confusing the issue. I recall you also bashing Roy, though. Most people are bashers, and we all pick our players to bash . That's part of what makes this place fun, IMO.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I still hate some of Roy's comments, including that garbage tonight.

Travis is still at the top of my list, though. :)

as long as the numbers he continues to get come from getting high quality touches inside and the drop has more to do with his minutes finally being reduced some, then bring it on.

I've always been critical of games where Miller has more shots than anybody else on the team. Andre had 17 shots tonight and only 4 assists. I think he bogged down the offense, but perhaps he needed to because nobody else could hit a shot. Anyhow, things got stagnant for stretches because of Miller playing the ISO post game.

Miller takes it upon himself when no one is hitting shots. It's been a common trend this season.

Dre didn't start shooting til he realized NOBODY else was going to make a shot.

And 18/8 is 18/8...... inside or outside.

Obviously not, he was nowhere to be found tonight. The defense was good, but he was lost out there not playing 50 mins. And it doesn't help when his teammates can't find him, the ball movement was Stagnant.

LA's #'s are slipping and as I posted before this is very dangerous for the Blazers! He has to be the go to guy now and our other players need to be cutting when the double comes to him. If LA becomes LA DAISY again we are in trouble make no mistake about it!

MAN up LA be mentally strong!!!! THIS IS YOUR TEAM!!!!!!!

So basically about 40 pts/20+ rebs are returning or joining our lineup that wasn't there pre all star break. How could LAs #'s NOT go down. As long as the offense is flowing, I'm happy.

Um.... Last week LA was an unstoppable force and we were winning and player of the month talk was being thrown around! The last two games he's been roaming, looking lost, and not commited to the low post and his #'s have gone down by almost 16... If that's what bringing back Roy and Camby has done I'm not sure that's a great thing!

The Atlanta game saw us going from mid-first quarter to mid-fourth quarter with some of the most atrocious offense imaginable. Probably not your best choice of words.

BTW- It's time for the local writers and sports talk shows to start calling out guys like Rudy, Wes, Nic and Roy for tragic halfs of basketball! These guys are pro's and they don't need to be coddled when as a whole their play sucks! Keep in mind how many 100 of thousands they made last night for that brick laying convention! Great teams know that games like last night are must wins, especially at home! How many times in the last three years has ATL come into our house and out hussled us?! I think our GM's and owner should be able to dock Nate's pay and all the above players pay for that type of lazy piss poor performance! Good money was spent by fans to watch a high school first half by our team and that should not be tolerated!

Camby gets Aldridge a couple of alley-oops per game, so Aldridge's points might actually go up.

And 18/8 is 18/8...... inside or outside.

18/8 does not always equal 18/8. An efficient 18 points on high percentage shots with some free throws in there for good measure is waaaaay better than 18 points scored on long jumpers with all misses being turned into fastbreak points by the other team. Similarly, 8 rebounds leading to fast breaks or quick inside buckets count for a lot more than 8 rebounds that led to more misses or turnovers.

The most impressive thing about Aldridge this season has been his transition from an oversized wing into a dominant low-post presence. If he can keep that presence going strong with reduced minutes, I think the team will be the better for it, regardless of his final output totals.
