What if we can get him for a song?
But what if we can get him for just the cap-hit and try to straighten him out?

Which is why we can get him for cheap. His DUIs are from 2014. I would really like him as a 3rd guard with CJ and Dame
Court records show the former Denver Nuggets guard was charged with drunken driving, speeding and other offenses in January. He pleaded guilty in November to driving while ability impaired and a lane violation. He faces up to 180 days in jail when he is sentenced Jan. 14.
Lawson also was arrested on drunken driving charges in Los Angeles in July.
A Denver judge in July ordered the 28-year-old to complete a 30-day residential treatment program at Cliffside Malibu, a celebrity rehabilitation center in California, before allowing the case to proceed. The same month, the Nuggets traded Lawson to the Rockets.
Howard would be the worst thing ever for this team. His main rumored complaint is not having the ball enough because its always in Harden's hand.s Same thing would happen here. He would be expected to rebound, set screens and play defense. He is concerned about his career numbers and will want to go to a team that will run the ball through him. That would never happen here. Plus, he is the softest player in NBA history with that type of body. He is a mental midget and proved that in LA.
Well, he doesn't really take long jump shots, so he probably wouldn't fit in very well. The question is more how well would Howard fit into Stotts' offense.
Even if he was "good" Ty, what would he bring to the table that isn't here already?
Not worth it. It's not like he's a headcase who is putting up good numbers. He's a headcase that sucks right now. He completely bombed in Houston.
Lawson doesn't even deserve those minutes, sadly. He could play the role Frazier is supposed to play. Have a 3-player rotation for most of the guard minutes between him, Dame and CJ
Neither does Mason Plumlee, but he seems to do OK. In fact, with his limited offensive game, he is already getting more shots per 100 possessions than Howard is this season. You don't think Howard would easily get 50% more touches in Stotts' offense than Plumlee does currently? Hell, Lopez got more touches last year than Howard is getting now; I have no doubt that Stotts would be able to placate Howard if he were here.Well, he doesn't really take long jump shots, so he probably wouldn't fit in very well.

"After a recent resolution in his court case for a DUI charge in 2014, the NBA suspended Lawson for two games on Friday. Since arriving in Houston this summer, Lawson has met his requirements off the floor and has had no new incidents. The push to trade him has been based on a poor basketball fit.
Because Lawson has struggled to find a way to play off the ball with star James Harden on the floor, the organization and Lawson’s representatives are moving toward cutting short this experiment, league sources said."
Obviously a poor basketball fit. He is a PG, not an off the ball guard.
He'd possibly be a good fit here, though. Lillard didn't suffer from having someone else (Batum) being the primary ball handler. The negative, IMO, aside from the DUIs is his age. He's 28.
That wouldn't be his role. If he were here, his role offensively would be to be a force down low, collapsing the defense for shooters. Picture him playing with Dame, CJ, Crabbe, and Aminu at the 4. And of course, his biggest contributions would be on the defensive end, where his DBPM is better than anyone on the Blazers save Plumlee and Davis.Plums is one of the best passing centers in the league thugh . I would consider Howard below average. Wont work with our new slashers.

Imagine a 3-big rotation of Howard/Plumlee/Davis. There would never be a pairing out there that would put us at a deficit. It could work. It'll never happen, but it could definitely work.
LOLI hear ya, I just dont think we want a big body parked in the paint slowing the game down . It sure seems the faster the pace the more competitive we are. Anytime it comes to a grind, we get are asses handed to us. I think Howard would bring the grind alot more than speed things up.
Maybe getting our asses handed to us in the grind is because we lack a solid force in the paint like Howard though?
I still dont want him. He is a bitch of a baby.LOL
We also often have Leonard, Vonleh and Harkless out there in our defensive frontcourt. If my mythical HowLaw/HendoKamNards trade were to actually happen, those guys would take a backseat (or be gone). Our backcourt legal team of McCollum, Lillard, and Lawson would still be terrible defensively, but they would more than make up for it on offense, and our PhD frontcourt trio would be fully capable of cleaning up the majority of their messes.
If I were @KingAlbertoJrSpeed, I would make this happen on 2K16 right now just to see how it plays.
