I'm wondering what Mike is thinking right now. They traded the two players who were flourishing in his system in hopes of getting someone in 2 years who doesn't seem like he is made for Mike D's system . . .
 
When LeBron doesn't sign with NY I will laugh...hard...for a real long time.
 
I think that Al Harrington would do very well in a D'Antoni system of shooting so many threes and playing undersized bigs. But they definitely downgraded in talent for the pure purpose of being able to land 2-3 major free agents in 2010. Everyone is trying to do that, including some teams that have no business doing so. Golden State knows it isn't going to get in the LeBron sweepstakes no matter what it offers, NY can equal it. I think it's inevitable that LeBron bolts to NY...there have just been too many hints between the baseball cap, the various NY themed shoes, and his desire to become a global icon and have the spotlight on him. Besides, he'll have the opportunity to play with an all-star friend in Bosh, Wade (or both!). LBJ is the perfect person to play for D'Antoni as well because of his unique size and skillset.

From now on I'll take the mods advice and post any and every last thought I have about anything in this forum because I'm here and I want to. Great advice mod!
 
Anybody else think having a press conference and talking about the possibility of leaving your current team is classless. I have really been disappointed in what I've seen from LeBron's "I am King James" attitude. He's let everything go to his head and it's getting old. If I'm a Cleveland fan (if there is such a thing) I'm pissed about the way he's acting. He still has a year and half of playing for his current team. Show some fucking loyalty and quite disrespecting your team/teammates/fans and ownership.

95% of the posters on this board are only here because the last place we posted at thought they knew better than we did how we want to organize our board.

That said, this should probably have "OT:" in front of it. NBA stuff is generally allowed in the Portland board as long as it's labeled such. All the other stuff goes in the Off Topic forum.

I agree that this is an OT type of thread.

How I like it is Blazer related threads simply go in without a distinction. Other NBA news (Zach Randolph, King James, etc.) that would be of interest goes with "OT:" in front of the thread name. For all other topics (politics, etc.) that are truly off-topic, those go in the off-topic subforum.

Anyways...
