Desperate times call for desperate measures, and that's why state lawmakers are considering legalizing prostitution in Las Vegas.

The Review-Journal reports that Senator Bob Coffin would be willing to grant a hearing for proposals to legalize and regulate prostitution. The Democrat heads up the Senate Taxation Committee and says taxing legal brothels would bring money in for Nevada.

Mayor Oscar Goodman believes there should be an open debate on the topic.
