The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), downed the Delaware 87ers 113-108 to take home the victory in their final game of the NBA Development League Showcase.
Melvin Ely boosted the Legends to a hot start with 11 points in the first quarter. The 87ers kept it close, but Devin Ebanks hit a 3 in the final seconds of the first half to take the Legends up 54-51. The 87ers came out firing, going up by as many as 10 in the third but Texas answered with a 14-0 run to reclaim the lead and head into the final quarter still up by three. The Legends once again put together a long run of 9-0 to go up 103-92 but the 87ers answered cutting the lead to two with under 2 minutes to play. Booker Woodfox hit one from long distance for the final score off the free throw line to increase the lead to 108-103.

Ely led all scorers with 32 points, tying his season-high, while adding 9 rebounds. Ebanks had the Legends' only double-double of 25 points and 12 boards. The 87ers had five players in double-digits, with Matt Bouldin posting a team-high 23 points and 7 rebounds.
