Travis Leslie of the Santa Cruz Warriors scored 19 points and added seven rebounds on his way to being named MVP of the 2013 NBA D- League All-Star Game, won by the Prospects over the Futures 139-125 at Sprint Arena at NBA All-Star Jam Session. Justin Dentmon of the Texas Legends, the 2012 NBA D-League MVP, added 18 points as part of a balanced effort that saw nine of 10 Prospects score in double figures, while shooting 56 percent from the field as a team.

Leslie, the 47th overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, spent his rookie season with the Clippers, but was waived one day before the 2012-13 season began. He's appeared in 21 games for the Warriors this season, averaging 16.2 points and 7.1 rebounds.

"Getting cut the day before the season was tough, because I felt like I had gotten to the point, especially over the summer, where I was really improving," said Leslie, who wasn't able to participate in the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase due to injury. "I know there are many areas I can continue to improve; especially my ball-handling and shooting, and I feel like I'm doing that in Santa Cruz."

Dentmon, who appeared in six games with the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs last season, added six assists, five rebounds and two steals for the Prospects. Acquired by the Legends in a January trade with Austin, Dentmon currently leads the NBA D-League in scoring at 20.8 ppg. Jerel McNeal of the Bakersfield Jam finished with 13 points and seven assists for the Prospects.

The Maine Red Claws' DaJuan Summers, one of five Red Claws in the Futures lineup, led all scorers with 28 points on 12-for-19 shooting. Shelvin Mack, Chris Wright, Micah Downs and James Mays also represented Maine. Summers, the 35th overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, has appeared in 81 games over the last three seasons with the Detroit Pistons and New Orleans Hornets. Mack, who's been called-up twice this season (Washington Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers), had a game-high 12 assists.

Courtney Fortson of the Los Angeles D-Fenders, added 20 points and four assists for the Futures. The Reno Bighorns' Jerome Jordan, the 44th overall pick of the 2010 NBA Draft, finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Futures. Jordan appeared in 21 games with the New York Knicks last season.

The afternoon began with the 2013 Boost Mobile NBA D-League Three-Point Contest, won by Reno's Marcus Landry, who bested the Idaho Stampede's Justin Holiday in the final round, 13-11. Maine's Micah Downs and the Legends' Dentmon rounded out the field. Landry, the brother of the Golden State Warriors' Carl Landry, had a first-round score of 16, while Holiday, the brother of the Philadelphia 76ers Jrue Holiday, hit for 17 points in the first round.

The 2013 Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest took place at halftime of the NBA D-League All-Star Game, and was won by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants' Tony Mitchell, whose final round combined score of 95 on his two dunks bested Idaho's Josh Owens. Mitchell earned a perfect score of 50 on his final dunk. Former NBA stars Darryl Dawkins and Micheal Ray Richardson, current players DeJuan Blair and Shannon Brown, and a fan, made up the judging panel. Reno's Dar Tucker, a two-time NBA D-League All-Star Dunk Champ, and Glen Rice, Jr. of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, also competed in the Dunk Contest.
