I know I'm one of the latecomers to this bus, but I'm on it now. We need a GM who can evaluate talent and we need him soon. When you lose players like Oden and Roy, it's time to go back to the well. I'm fine with that now. Who's with me?

I hope the next GM brings in an entirely different scouting staff. This needs to happen.

It's too early to tell. Let it bake for another year or two ...

Will you do another 180 when they win a few more games?

No. I knew this season was over when we had our first loss against Houston but I hung in there for entertainment value (we looked good sometimes), but it's just not fun anymore especially when we have little to no chance of making it into the playoffs. Now, if we trade for someone like Nash, that will excite me and I will buy back into this season. But if we go forward with the current bunch, I'm definitely done. I've seen all I need to see. Even if this bunch made the playoffs, they're not winning when they get there. I've made peace with that.

Turn around comes with a change. Winning games won't do it now. There needs to be an overhaul. Regardless if Nate may or may not be a decent coach means nothing to this organization. Our players have no chemistry. I bet once traded, they will do well on their new respected teams.

We do need a gm that can evauate talent. We need a gm that can find chemistry. We need a coach that will put the chemistry together. It may take a year or two but we have a shot at turning things around.

We are sitting in a nice position though. Cap flexibility and talent to build around.

I don't understand why you guys are hard on Kingspeed. He's a fan and wants to watch a winning team just like you. Maybe his methods might seem off, but he is dedicated. I am cut from te same cloth. It takes a while to finally admit that your team is going no where. Ita hard to admit your coach you stood by for over 7 years failed you. It's hard to accept Roy and oden are gone. It's hard to accept that our once proud owner may have lost interest in the team you love.

Things are changing because the blazers aren't giving us something to cheer for. They just don't play like they give a shit. And now many of us don't give a shit either.

For the record, I have free tix to our games this month against Knicks and Lakers. I'll be going to both because, who knows? Maybe I'll finally see them win after the thousands of dollars I spent watching them lose to LA, Phoenix, GS, and LA.

I was being sarcastic.

Regardless, I find it humorous (but not surprising) that Eric created a "Rockets losing streak" (making the playoffs) thread and a "Rebuild through the lottery" thread within hours of each other.

Not to mention the whole "season is over" thing when we lost to Houston a few weeks ago.

I don't think they don't give a shit. I think they care and this has been hard on them. They're just not good enough and/or need a better coach.

Um, for the record, I agree with the thread's premise, and have for awhile.

Well Kingspeed admits that he takes medication. Maybe he is bipolar. This team seems bipolar. I feel like going mad.

It's all a moot point unless there is a change in ownership.

Rebuilding...

Would you dangle LMA for a top-2 pick this year?

Things changed dramatically during those couple hours. We had to beat Minensota tonight. We had to get into the season series with him them and we had to get off to a good start on this road trip. In the Rockets losing streak thread, I said IF we beat Minnesota. But what I saw tonight was a Blazers team that came out of the gate on fire in the first quarter and an Aldridge who came out on fire in the second and they still couldn't win the game. They knew the game was important and just couldn't win it. I see no evidence that they will crawl out of this hole. They're not that kind of team. Unless we make a trade and a firing. Soon.

i want jeremy lamb, however that needs to be accomplished, im all for it

66%
61%
58%
49%

That's the change in the Blazer winning percentage over the last 4 seasons. This fish is rotting from the head down, and the owner cares the least of anybody.

I would trade Aldridge for Anthony Davis. Would allow for a full rebuild.

Of course Davis's knees would probably turn into mush the second he stepped into the practice facility.

i dont get this, lma is prolly top 5 pf in the nba right now, trading him for a question mark pf makes no sense to me

I think Anthony Davis is pretty much a sure thing. In that his floor is a top 10 PF.

Only reason I say this is because it might be hard retaining LA once his contract is up, assuming management keeps making the same shitty decisions. He's also not the youngest star in the league. At 26, he's entering his prime right now. We'll have maybe 5-6 years of Aldridge if we're being optimistic. On the other hand, we might have 10-12 years of Davis.

Blazers would go full rebuild though, obviously. Retain Batum maybe, suck a few more years for lotto picks.

Does that mean that you believe this was a must-win game in the middle of the season, KS?

Go Blazers

This is pretty much how I see it. It's mostly about timing.

+ 1. Admittedly, I've given KS shit over his enthusiasm. But I love it. He's a die-hard and if anyone says otherwise, they can go to hell. I love it. I'm just starting to get burnt out by the underachieving, so props to KS for always being positive. Him voicing that we need to rebuild does not change my opinion of his stature because we clearly do need to rebuild.

No. Too risky. Plenty of guys picked in the top 3 are disappointments. Do you trust our scouting staff and decision makers?

Yeah me too. Many have thought I was one of the most optimistic homers in here and things changed this season. It's like for the very first time I think the blazers don't care about winning. They sucked before but tried. This team seems to not give a rats ass. It's too frustrating!
