...and the Nets were to move to Seattle. Would you still support this team?

What about if they were to move to Baltimore, or Kansas City?

that would be tough, very tough.
I mean, they wouldn't be called the Nets anymore most likely. I guess I'd have to support them by default, but it'd be so tough to see their games without league pass, and sadly, wouldn't be able to attend anymore games.

How would they move? Neither city has plans to build a new arena as far as I can tell.

Kansas City seems like a more logical destination.

I would; I'm a fan of the franchise now. Hopefully they wouldn't keep the name the same (as they're doing now).

What I'd be pissed about is that it would kill any chances we have of getting Lebron.

I would support the team wherever they moved. This day and age with NBA TV and internet it would be silly not to follow them.

Well, I'll add Kansas City to the list of possible destinations too

Who else would I root? The Knicks?

I’d support them more if, unlike Brooklyn, the owners bought property at market value instead of using eminent domain and did not use government subsidies. Using eminent domain and government subsidies to build a sports arena is not justified.

OFF TOPIC
What happened to the Haiku Thread?!
Anyone know?

I'd root for the Knicks.

if the nets moved... id be just a fan of the NBA... no team... just the league
and fan of the sport

Yes, I would still support them if they moved to Seattle or Kansas City.

I like the Tennessee Titans, so distance doesn't really matter to me.

If the Nets move out of here, they can go f themselves. I'll root for every team in the league over them.

all new players, new city, nah i'd be done with them, still would hate the nixs. I'd pick another team, but never the kc nets.

It just ain't right.

Yes, I would still support the Nets, the reason is。。。。

I don't really know. I would have to be in the situation. I probably would.

i'd root for the sixers...my wife is from pa and we also have a house there...and collect videos of the jkidd-era nets...

This thread doesnt make sense.

IF the brooklyn thing went through they would just go to Newark. They need another team over there.

Well then, let's say for some unknown reason the Newark thing didn't work, either. This is just a "what if" type of thing. What if the Nets left the NJ-NY area.

David Stern has said several times that NJ will not get another franchise.

In David Stern's world, NJ has already lost the Nets, as far as hes concerned, this team belongs to Brooklyn. It sucks but we have to live with it.

If the highest bidder is from out of the area, neither Ratner or Stern will care. So it's not impossible some NJ interest will buy the team, but it's more likely someone else somewhere else will buy it.

That would be my worst nightmare.

That's kind of why I wish they would play at The Rock until Brooklyn. At least see what the potential is here for a team when it plays at a state-of-the-art arena with mass transit. Also make it easier to recruit NYC and Staten Island fans that would want to follow the team in Brooklyn.

Actually it doesnt suck. it would suck if they move out of the tristate area.

If they move, bring them to Vegas. Seattle or KC can have the Bucks when they fail to build a new arena in the next few years.
