Let's Talk Defense

Davis is fine in a bubble was just hoping he was aiming a little higher up the FA market. Some like DeAndre Jordan who lead the league in rebounding and was among the leaders in Defensive Rating, Defensive Wins Shares, Blocks etc.

Davis is gave up around a PER of 20 and his DWS put him like 150 in the league and his defensive rating of 107 puts him in the solid 250 range.

Some of that can be attributed to the Lakers being just dreadful but some of it suggests he is not a focal point on defense that we need to go all in on defense.
or Byron Scott can't coach like Doc Rivers maybe?

Try looking at his DWS/48, or his DBPM, then get back to me.

That was just not going to happen. Almost all top players re-signed with their previous team.
Jordan is not moving unless he goes home to Texas. (Or down the hall)

I don't imagine Stotts can either, therefore getting Jordan who already learned to defend from someone like Rivers is more valuable than adding someone like Davis who has potential but not the coach to maximize it.

That is all good but we have not gotten any indication that Olshey has even tried to contact him. Considering their history and our need for a center you would hope that there would be some speculation that we were at least interested.
