We have a true Trailblazer in our midst!

"Dear Portland Trail Blazers family,

I’m writing to express my genuine gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has helped me along the way with the Trail Blazers. From the minute I arrived in Portland, I felt welcomed—not just as a basketball player, but also as a person, a dreamer, and someone looking to make his mark on and off the court. Today, I’d like to thank you for your love, support, and for providing an environment in which I could grow into who I am.

Coming into this league was a dream come true, but finding a home with the Trail Blazers has been even more special. Portland provided me with more than just a jersey; it gave me a purpose, a platform, and a community of people who never gave up on me. I felt your presence during every battle, win, and setback—constant, loyal, and loud.

Thank you to everyone on the coaching crew for believing in me. Your advice and coaching have not only improved my game, but also polished my mindset. You’ve taught me that growth requires constancy, trust, and resilience. You gave me the freedom to express my playing style while also challenging me to extend beyond limits I didn’t realize I had. Your conviction in my abilities gave me the confidence to take risks and step into leadership.

To my teammates, thank you for being brothers. We’ve gone to war together, celebrated victories, and supported one other throughout losses. You are family. The friendship, laughter, and unspoken link we share will always be among the greatest honors of my life. Every game, practice, every time we spent together created memories that I’ll cherish for my whole life.

To the Blazers fans, you are truly one of a kind. Your dedication and passion reverberate throughout the Moda Center and into the heart of this city. You made me feel at home. You accepted my background, energy, and effort. Your affection remained constant regardless of the outcome. That love fueled me. It inspired me to give my all every time I stepped onto the court. It’s powerful to know that people are rooting for the person as well as the athlete. You did it for me.

Thank you, Portland community, for allowing me to be a part of something bigger. From local outreach projects to everyday encounters, your warmth reminded me of what makes this city so wonderful. You welcomed, supported, and became a part of my journey in ways that went far beyond basketball.

To my family and loved ones, your unfailing support, whether thousands of miles away or right beside me, has kept me grounded. Your strength is the same as mine.

As I embark on new adventures, Portland remains close to my heart. This team, city, and community have shaped me. No matter where I go, I will always be a trailblazer.

With thanks and love,
Deni Avdija

Link?

Where did you see this?

Was this sent to season ticket holders or something?

This comes off as a retirement letter...wtf?

is this real? I'm skeptical

if it is, it sure sounds like a player getting traded....makes me even more skeptical

From a Twitter account I've never heard of.

For the hell of it, I asked AI. The response was:

Deni Avdija, in a recent interview, expressed his happiness with his current situation in Portland, emphasizing the team's welcoming atmosphere and his flourishing game, including career highs in points and usage rate.

Maybe just an end of season thank you after Joe and Chauncey told him he'd be sitting the rest of this season. It sure sounds like a goodbye but it never explicitly says goodbye. Maybe it's just a "thank you and see you next season" even though he doesn't talk about a future here and the "new adventures" and "No matter where I go" stuff does seem ominous.

We better be getting a motherfucking haul for him if we're trading him.

I would be willing to bet they've never once tested LeBron.
Sure... you think he's been taking steroids since he was like 15??? Dude looked like a monster back then and has only filled out in a way that looks natural when considering what he was early on. That being said, go on and slander the dude. SMH

Glad to see you found your biological family finally.
It's just that people with their half cocked conspiracy theories are clowns. There are a ton of billionaires and news organizations that would benefit from outing LeBron as a PED user but we haven't seen even a hint of it. It's like this, in this age of putting baseless conspiracy theories over everything... over science, over common sense, just preposterous people talking out of there asses. Seriously, besides the fact that LeBron is a freak and some people prone to making wild baseless accusations have hinted at his PED use in passing... what makes you think that this league that generates hundreds of billions of dollars and LeBron himself who is a billionaire would risk it all for an edge?

Why haven't there been any paper trails about LeBron's supply chain? Why haven't any owners around the league come forward with real accusations? But hey why let the burden of any sort of proof get in your way of making convenient slanderous remarks?

Chill kiddo it’s a joke. I’m sure his T levels are twice as high as everyone else’s naturally. Like you said, he’s been jacked all his life and went bald at like 12.

His head has increased in size since he was 18.

That's not normal.

It’s totally normal just look at Joe Rogan!

It's cool guys and it's not like you're alone in this behavior. I just had a meltdown about it but that's not on you guys. Seriously, sorry for making a mountain out of a very small molehill.

Edit: Also the idea of Deni getting traded had me a little worked up. Sorry again.

He better not be leaving
