And he starts yelling "This is My Motha Fucking House"

Damn I loved it! Ice in his veins baby. In fact, what about the nickname Otzi

That's exactly what DWade yells when he made his game winners in MIA.

That he's willing to take that type of shot as a rookie is insane. I don't even think any other rookie I've seen be this clutch their first year; especially a pg.

Roy took some in his rookie year but it was mostly his second year that he asserted himself correct? Roy with any game winners as a rookie?

damn nice, last game on Thursday on National TV has a great game and we beat SA, and follows it up with a game winner tonight, as I said on the game thread, "the legend of Lillard grows"

Roy actually had a few game winner his rookie year but Lillard has more than half the season to get a few more. It's uncanny the similarities Lillard and Roy meaning to this franchise are. Just insane! It's like god is making up for all our troubles the last 3 years.

"It's like god is making up for all our troubles the last 3 years"

IMHO there is still some serious work for "GOD" to do on that count

I hear ya! Hickson's monster year is another good sign. All we need is our bench. I really think that is all we need. Some think hickson has no business being center; but he's doing good so far.

getting the #1 pick this off season sure would help. Because he knows the Blazers aren't getting any major free agents here.

He hit some really clutch shots, but no game winners as far as i recall his rookie year. How blessed are we to have such clutch rooks?

This is all from his rookie year.

remember how bummed fans were when Brandon had his foot issue his rookie year?

If lillard went out for an extended period of time, this team seriously might not win more than 10% of their games.

I always thought the Sac game was a winning shot... guess my memory is going.

I think Dame's got more swag than BRoy did his rookie year, definitely more flashy. Roy seemed to really grab a hold of this as HIS TEAM in his second and third years. Dame's already doing it now.

I looked at the video and it looks like he's actually yelling "This is my mother fucking gym!"

Blaze01 wallows in pity.

He wanted Rivers over Lillard. Hell, he wanted Marquis Teague over Lillard.

Damn......... those were some good ass replays!

Gotta give Blaze credit, he is still on the "Lillard is fools gold" bandwagon. No bandwagon jumping or admitting defeat graciously for him.

He was given the keys to the car on day 1. The entire organization has given him the green light to shoot. Of course, he's willing to take that shot. That is what he is being asked to do. It was actually the 5th such shot Lillard has taken this year (see games against Houston, Houston, Cleveland, and Charlotte) and he finally made it this time. I wasn't surprised or impressed. He's a great player and he has no other PG on the team challenging for his spot. There are no playoff expectations for the team and no one like Kobe to yell at him if he misses. It wasn't a pressure shot. Glad he made it.

Top story in today's SF Chronicle NBA wrap, with photo. Usually the Blazers game is the last one in the column and gets one sentence.

PS, I don't want the #1 pick. Winning the lottery has not worked for the Blazers. And this year, honestly, would you rather have Davis, who has missed a bunch of games, or Dame? It's when we are all disappointed that things work great (with Roy and Aldridge, and now Lillard) and when we're all psyched and dancing in the streets it goes wrong (Exhibit A: Oden, Greg). Let the Lakers get the #1 pick for Phoenix, let Portland pick 4 or 6, or fuck, why not just make the damn playoffs?

And could you imagine this forum and the fan base if we had Anthony? We would claimed our curse is still going on.
