I won't be around so it would be great if someone else could post the link when it is available.

Barton is up first.

Re: LIVE coverage of the player exit interviews from the Practice Facility at 10:30am

Barton learned a lot on the court and as a professional.

There are several one word answer to questions I can't hear.

he wants to work on his play making skills

he felt the times he got a chance to play in the playoffs he did produce.

t rob and he went way back and played AAU and went to the same prep school

Thanks for doing this. I can't stream media at work and cell service inside blows. ;(

Re: LIVE coverage of the player exit interviews from the Practice Facility at 10:30am

now up, Meyers Leonard

wants to do individual work outs, keep in shape and keep his cardio up.

now the year he wanted to have, looking forward to this summer.

a lot of training and hard work, in the gym a lot. get out and play against some competition. learn the game. practicing freethrows he knows he's althetic, but needs to learn how to use that

he'll be back in portland for some indvidual training for a couple of weeks, and then summer league training and then expects summer league to be a good test. He'll likely stay in vegas to go to gurge (sp) camp. 60 or 70 guys

3 work outs in the morning and then play at night. then stay in LA at the Clippers facility (wtf?) in the morning and play at night. He wants to learn to protect the rim and run the floor.

go home for a short period, then back here for about a month of pre-training camp workouts.

he has something to prove. he can practice his jump shots and dunk by himself, but a lot of the important things he needs to play against other guys. the playing aspect is the biggest part. (now describing his HS and College career, kind of making excuses?) I haven't really played competitive basketball that much... (doesn't sound good)

he wants to get better and show everyone he can have an impact and get better.

Thank you!

Meyers is just rattling off excuses right now..

VG you need to take over, I have to go to a meeting for about an hour. I'll pick up on my return if it's still going (at this pace it should be).

Re: LIVE coverage of the player exit interviews from the Practice Facility at 10:30am

Earl sounds like he's setting it up to coach.

Yet what he was saying was legitimate. The only way he will get better is with playing time. He has not played center that many years competitively.
Can he get better? I have no clue. But there is no question he needs actual game time to improve.

Robin is such a chill dude.

He is impressive to listen to. I doubt he will be back, but not a bad guy to have on the end of the bench. Love to see him as a coach with us.

RoLo available to play a Wookie in the new Star Wars movie.

I love this. I think he has the handles and skills to pull this off as a backup. Hope he succeeds.

Re: LIVE coverage of the player exit interviews from the Practice Facility at 10:30am

Wes: confirms Meyers needs to just play more basketball. Somewhat throws the bench under the bus comparing them to the prepared Spurs bench. Not his intent, but he was correct.

Re: LIVE coverage of the player exit interviews from the Practice Facility at 10:30am

Why don't they show the whole interview?

Re: LIVE coverage of the player exit interviews from the Practice Facility at 10:30am

Claver: bummed about not playing much, but liked the team being in the playoffs. Rest first, then national team. Has one more year (doesn't seem too excited) and then who knows. He just wants to play somewhere. Not much talk about how he can earn more PT. Sees himself as a 3 more than 4, but knows it is good for him to get better as a 4.

I agree with this, but there is also a LOT he could have learned from film study all season long. He needs a good workout partner. I am not convinced that coach Kim is that guy.

Is their a Claver buyout in our future? How might that work? Would it benefit us in any way?

I wouldn't buy him out. I think he can be filler in a trade. Hopefully he has a good summer with the national team and/or summer league, to boost his value.

He really sounds like he doesn't want to be here.

Well, he's still young and he wants to play. I don't blame him. Terry almost never plays him. He and Meyers are probably getting really frustrated.

Re: LIVE coverage of the player exit interviews from the Practice Facility at 10:30am

Batum: excited about having same coach and same players back for next year to build consistency.

And he said the goal is to be top 4 in the west.

Re: LIVE coverage of the player exit interviews from the Practice Facility at 10:30am

I would keep Claver one more year like he mentioned. He might not want to sit but I really like having him available. If he could improve his outside shot he would definitely help us.
