LMA's shot has been horrible on the road so far

IMO, he needs to get it going from close in before drifting out.

This should be a great game for him to do that. Denver has no one capable of guarding him and stopping LMA from getting into the post.

It's literally a two game sample size.

Aldridge is Aldridge at this point. I have come to live with it. He's not our star. Lillard is the star. He's the one who has his face plastered all over everything and he's being pushed by the league BIG TIME right now. Too bad we won't see the benefits on the court.

Absolutely. Really enjoyed Crabbe's entry pass to LA last night. I feel like most of the time our entry's into him are very weak.

We do have a problem of LMA getting the ball so far from the basket and part of that is LMAs fault and part of it is our offense. When LMA gets real deep in the paint, which is rare, we have a real hard time getting him the ball.

Especially with Nic out.

We should trade LMA for road games and then trade him back for home games.

I think LMA's just forcing things a bit on the road. Pressure of raised expectations, is my guess. He'll be fine.

If you notice whether on the road or not, LA commands double teams which benefit Rolo or Kaman on the block. It works. Surprised to see this thread after a 25 and 14 comeback from 23 down win. Doesn't matter who on the team gets the good shot, that's the unselfish nature of the team. Our stats are spread out across the board most games. Everybody rebounding, everybody getting assists. What's not to like??

Bro there isn't a Blazer fan that defends Aldridge more than me in here. I have put this thread up to revisit when more road games are played. So we can see the trend.

I have utmost confidence this number will change for the better as the season progresses.

Another thing to take into consideration is Aldridge usually plays the beginning of the season at a lower efficiency. If his mark is 22.3 PER and still 22/10, then imagine what it will look like at mid season?!

How dare you attack the chosen one! BLASPHEMER!

He is my favorite player in the NBA, and want to see him be the very best LA he can be. Acknowledgment of shortcomings is the first step in this progression. Its evident to me that LA is committed to being great, therefore "constructive" criticism should be welcomed.

I think Terry Stotts needs to make a change. Just cut the LMA long jump shot out of the offense. If someone's going to launch up a long shot, it should be a 3 pointer (unless someone gets a wide open look). LA needs to get his pansy ass inside, or only take open jumpers...enough with forcing up crappy shots.

It was a low percentage shot last season as well...this is what I've been saying all along.

The shot you are talking about he is hitting at a 47% clip so far. The EDIT: (10 to <16) is when he's on the block. Usually this is his fade away turn around shot.

I just wish LA and Dame would get the same treatment as a Westbrook and Durant. Some of the drives that Dame makes would easily be an And One for Westbrook or Harden. He takes contact, but there's no call. I would complain about the refs a hell of a lot less if it was called the same for both teams.

Aldridge is starting to get calls now.

Yeah, but those other players get 8-10 FTA per game.

Durant averaged 9.9 FTA last year.

Westbrook is averaging 8 FTA this year.

Harden averaged 11 FTA last year.

While LaMarcus has never averaged more than 5.5 in a season. There's a definite difference in how the refs protect someone like Durant or Westbrook, and how they protect LA.

This thread should be merged with the thread titled "Crabbe has a 52.2 PER"

I agree that Aldridge isn't getting calls like Durant and others like him, but he is getting some calls. Dame, on the other hand, is getting fucking mugged time and time again, yet the refs swallow their whistles.

He really isn't getting more calls though. If you look at his numbers, he's right around 5.5 FTA, which is pretty close to where he's been for the past four or five years. He's not getting superstar treatment, but he should be.

It's interesting because I watched some of the highlights from last night, and Dame made at least two or three layups that would have been an And One if it was someone like Rose, Westbrook, or Harden.
