Loan Remodifications- lots of scam lawyers?

I rent so I'm not really worried about this crap. BUT, I know some people who are looking at these lawyers who advertise on radio/TV/whatever who examine your loan documents to look for *ahem* "irregularities". Some are charging like 2 grand retainer and $5k to complete the process I believe....

how scammy are these folks? it seems like there is a huge opportunity for those to take FURTHER advantage of people not ready to buy in the first place....

thoughts on these?

These bozo's are amatures. You should see some of the ambulance chasers I deal with.
