Some Team Disguised as the Nets Beats the Mavs by 19
February 10, 2008, 9:05 pm Overheard in the Nets’ locker room after Sunday’s game at the IZOD Center: “You want to play with those guys?” Somehow, the Nets got their second straight double-digit victory, a laugher over the Mavs with the Big Three (can we call them that again?) leading the way. The Nets were down 11 midway through the second quarter, but finished the half on a 21-4 run to take a six-point lead into the break. They continued to roll into the second half, leading by as many as 20 in the third and never looking back. Vince Carter led all scorers and rebounders with 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting and nine boards. Jason Kidd added 13 points and 14 assists and Richard Jefferson added 19 points and seven rebounds. Sean Williams was terrific off the bench with 15 points, seven boards and two blocks and Nenad Krstic shows signs of improvement as well. Dallas shot just 37 percent from the field, including 2-of-18 from downtown. Dirk Nowitzki scored 21 points, but shot just 4-for-16.

I doubt one win changes Kidd's mind, but I thought that was an interesting read into the current locker room dynamic.
