Just a bad day today. I wanted Cashman to do more and I am hoping he will in the coming weeks. I just hate seeing Boston making huge improvements while Yankees did nothing and it was maddening. I am better now.

...Jill, IMO, the moves the Sox made were purely out of desperation. Sure they picked up some pitching but if you look at it, they pretty much have a staff of #3 starters...they have no ace. And unless they can either snare Shields or Scherzer, they can forget about the PS.

Rick, I agree about there staff having #3's but I feel we have to sign Max. I just don't understand the Yankees and Medical Staff's position on Tanaka, It seems to me it's not a matter of if, but a matter of when he will need to shut it down and have whatever procedure needed. Otherwise without Max, we are no better then the Red Soxs. Yes, our guys have a higher proven ceiling (Pineda, Nova, Etc) but otherwise I feel we share the same level as the Red Soxs.
