I'm thinking they should just scope it and get that chip out. Get it over with already!
 
It sounds like this time it was McMillan who didn't think Oden should play.
 
The phrases Greg Oden and bad news are ones that I wouldn't mind not hearing anymore.

he will need surgery and be out for season....just like our playoff hopes
 
You didn't have any play off hopes, with or without oden anyway. You should be worried about the fact he can't seen to stay healthy....sam bowie 2.0
 
the blazers or mixum didn't have playoff hopes? i know the blazers did and still do, with or without oden. that said, and i can't believe this since, but i partially agree with mixum. the chip is going to have to come out, why not just scope it a week ago and he'd only be a month away from playing?

There was no need to make a trade. Especially if Paul Allen wanted to save a little $. We have a very young team that's going to get better just by staying together.

I prefer to think of him as healthier than Andrew Bynum. Andrew Bynum is Bowie 2.0.

The Blazer still have playoff hopes, but they will just be happy to get there. It's a culture of low expectations and excuses at One Center Court right now.
 
This kid may have some sort of degenerative bone issues. I can't believe this is just bad luck! Ya know he looks 44 at 21, something tells me there is more to this story.

I honestly think it's worse than the organization is letting on. They are literally scared shitless of the impact of "Oden needs knee surgery" headline. Honestly, if they would have gotten that shit scoped immediately after they discovered the bone chip, he would be back this week.

That's a lot of must haves with zero evidence to support them.

Dude, we've been the up and coming team for a year now. How is that sad and tired? Just because you've got serious anger management issues doesn't mean we're going nowhere in the next 10 years. Christ.
 
Yardape - that's a very impressive diagnosis considering you have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously, the laz-y-boy doctors in here need to sit down and let the experts handle it.
 
Oden is not a deal breaker for making the playoffs to begin with. We all know this. He might help a little against the bad teams, but honestly the good teams will have him out of the game by 2 quarter till his skills advance. If he's hurt, send him to PDX tonight and scope him so Joel might have some help in May. Quit dicking around with it and get it done!
