I think 75% of the reason of the seats not being filled is because of the hot weather.
This was discouraging news also.

Still, the result was a bit of a downer, considering the Timbers had a one-man advantage for the final 42 minutes of the game and all they could do was score one goal.

unfortunately I didnt make the game tonight, but from photos it looks like the North End was packed as usual. I did see many empty seats at the free donut guild on the TV's. a portion of them I heard could have been people in attendance but watching from the decks above and the Key Bank. But I'm sure many didnt bother to show up because it was hell on turf there
and yes I bet bandwagon fans have a lot to do with it too. Good... weed them out because I'm sick of all the bandwagon popped collar bro's in the North End this year

I liked Spenny's fire a lot. But he wasnt ready for a head coaching gig. The MLS equivelant of Nate McMillain. Drill Seargeant, motivates you, but severely lacking in the x's and o's department.

Couldnt adapt to what others were doing to plan against him, stubborn/loyal to a fault with players clearly not getting the job done. And destroys a players confidence whom he isnt loyal to (I.E. Eric Alexander)

I will agree the current team is flat, and have mailed it in, and Wilkinson most def needs to go as well. But this team is not as good as we want them to be either. When you have Bad coaching, and mediocre players (save for a few) and bad results will happen. Spenny wasnt the man to lead us to where this club wants to go.

But I read it along the lines of, "Well, the stadium is empty because only little girls go to soccer games, and they have early bedtimes...." I could be wrong, though. I've heard comments like that enough to interpret the comment the way I did, just like there's been enough digs on your daughters that you took the comment the way you did.

Ps Timbers are rarely good so not sure that would be the reason people showed up in the first place
