Lowry for #6 and The statistic I'd like to see

What I can't help asking myself is that if Lowry is such a good PG (starting caliber NBA PG) why is Houston so determined to resign Drajic this summer? How good can Lowry really be when the franchise he plays for is ready to commit big dollars to Drajic and create a situation where Lowry publically demands a trade?

Doesn't seem like Houston think a lot of Lowry . . . or do I have this wrong?

maybe I have it all wrong, but I see Lowry and Dragic as the Rockets two most valuable players who just happen to play the same position. If they can resign Dragic, they probably hope to trade Lowry for value that helps round out their team. The problem with that is Dragic is an Unrestricted Free Agent and Houston doesn't have his Bird rights... the only leg up they have on other teams in getting him to sign with them is that he wouldn't have to move. Who knows how tied he is to the Rockets after 2 seasons there but I'm guessing that sentiment pales vs an opportunity to win next year and beyond. If it's Portland and Houston vying for his services and the dollars are close, I think the Blazers clearly have a younger & better core.

Yeah I like Matthews but he just a nice bench player. He just does not have the handles to be anything close to an allstar. And Hardin is.

Hardin can drive/finish as he's got much more explosive jumping ability. Aside from that, Wes is a good athlete & solid catch and shoot deep threat and defender. He's not going to be part of anyone's "Big Three" but I've no problem with him being a starter outside of that equation. He'd match up best with a PG who excelled in the drive and kick game... like Goran. The same could be said for Portland's other solid spot up shooter Nic Batum

I think salesmanship is one of the most underrated qualities a GM can have. The owner, other GM's, fans and agents all have to be sold. Assuming he values the right guys opinion (cough) Born (cough) then it's a great match

Agree 100% and Olshey seems to be good at it.

I agree. Just remember salesmen are often full of shit. So we should not get upset when he tells us one thng and does the opposite. Especially during the draft and the trade deadline.

What fun is that?
