He gave a great speech at his HOF induction ceremony. (Warning: This might make some Republican's head explode)

LT is Lawrence Taylor, and he wasn't a running back!![]()
I don't know how the Chargers didn't win anything with LT and Drew Brees.
Drew Brees wasn't as good in San Diego as he became in New Orleans, which is pretty remarkable considering the injury that ushered him out of San Diego.
I'm surprised LT and Rivers never won anything, but the really talented Chargers teams in the second half of the 2000s suffered a lot of injuries in the playoffs. Plus Marlon McCree trying to run back a Tom Brady interception and fumbling it when just falling down after the interception would have sealed the game.

Especially since Republicans freed the slaves anyways.
Don't get too carried away with hyperbole. The Emancipation Proclamation called for slaves to go back to a country they've never been in in 80 years. It also carved out specific areas where slavery was still legal. And it never once did abolish slavery as it is still legal today.
Lincoln was not the great emancipator that everyone makes him out to be.
I'm not sure what your point is here of bringing politics into this. The man didn't mention politics one time in his entire speech.
Instead, he thanked a southern Democrat slavemaster for giving him his name, and encouraged everyone to come together under one nation. Something with every Republican I've ever met agrees with.
Now, the comment section on that video is pretty telling. Every black person the entire page is busy calling LT a coon. If you ask me.....those aren't the types of people that vote Republican......
So no, I don't think any Republican head is going to explode here. Especially since Republicans freed the slaves anyways. I think you've made a failed attempt to make this political, when it's actually not. Not once was politics brought up in that speech.
He brought up an Obama quote. That in its own is enough to make a Republican lose it.
You need to do you research a little bit on the political landscape in the 1860's the roles of Republican's and Democrats were reversed.
Black people in the comments section calling LT a coon? I'm not buying it.
Please don't tell me you think the modern Justice system is a form of slavery. That's asinine. When you commit a crime, you don't get to decide your own punishment. And let's also remember that such work is voluntary in most jurisdictions. They don't just yank criminals out of their cells and force them to work.
Would you rather criminals contributed while they were incarcerated? Or would you rather they sat and did nothing in over-crowded prisons without an opportunity to learn skills?
Freedom is earned. Not given.
