Now his firing and quick acceptance of the Kings offer makes sense.

I'm going to need to hear a lot more about this before coming to any judgement.

All I know is the woman making the accusation had a boyfriend who lost a leg in an accident. She publicly broke up with him saying it was too hard taking care of him. Boyfriend then wins $35 million in lawsuit over losing leg. Then she files suit against Luke Walton.

I smell a fish that's gone beyond it's expiration date.

Heretic, you are hereby excommunicated from the Internet. Surrender your keyboard.

barfo
I'd rather have him surrender his fine bottle of bourbon. I volunteer to collect it.

Sounds like a set-up.

Happened before he was hired by the Lakers, then comes out after he is fired by them. (he was going to be fired by them anyway).

There's a reason this never broke while he was the Lakers coach.

What reason?

What reason?

I don't know.

Maybe she was being paid or pressured to keep this under wraps by Lakers brass.
Maybe this was revenge for something else.

Who knows. Sounds fishy or shady. No inside knowledge, just my spidey senses.

She also has fibromyalgia (lots of crazy bitches "have" this) and is now a podcast host.

she sounds like a total bitch.

“It just became too much,” said Kelli Tennant, who was engaged to Amir “Nick” Ekbatani. “I’m trying to build my career at the same time I’m trying to keep this guy alive. I just couldn’t handle it myself anymore.”

“As much as I loved and cared about him, the transition from girlfriend and fiancee to caretaker was difficult,” she said. “I had to say no to more job opportunities than I would have liked. I couldn’t travel or do events like I wanted to.”

Total bitches can be sexually assaulted.

Sure they can, they can also make it up when they aren't following their dreams of being a sports reporter and end up hosting a self-produced podcast.

I wonder if her being a Laker fan precluded her from suing him while he was a Lakers coach.

He should say, good riddance to bad rubbish.
My wife devotes her life to caring for me. Now, that's love.

Apparently the victim-smear campaign (said to be coordinated by the Lakers organization) started immediately, even noted in several news reports.

Lakers will/should be roasted for their cover-up and smear attempts regardless of the outcome. Works for me.

If we’ve learned anything from the past few years it’s, don’t just flat out “believe all women” or call her a “lying bitch” let’s be adults and wait for the evidence to come out. I have no dog in this fight, I just hope Justice is served in whatever way it may be.

Hallelujah, a fellow Laker hater.

Yes, but don't rule the woman out. After all, about 90% of women's claims of rape prove accurate.
But don't forget, Luke spent his early years right here in Portland. And we live in a squeaky clean town as I can attest to in my location in Lake Oswego, a town with virtually no crime unless you want to include income tax fraud.

There is no evidence. Its he said/she said.

Can't we sue him for something else? Can't we sue him for impersonating an NBA coach?
