Considering he was never supposed to be the everyday option at first base the guy has done a very nice job this year. He's not flawless on defense by any means but I've been satisfied with his bat. If only Hafner and Wells hadn't been completely useless for months the Yankees might be sitting in a playoff spot.

...Hafner and Wells pretty much carried this team for the first month of the season...and Wells has also hit very well this month.

...the Yanx have suffered just as much from a year long lack of production from the 3B (.214 .271 .287 .558 ) and SS (.223 .287 .298 .585 ) positions as anything else.

I'm Betting that you see at least one of the call ups in tonight's game. Thomas Neal or Melky Mesa.

...since they're facing Dempster, I'm guessing they'll sit Wells?

Which is why if we can't pick up someone like Kendrys Morales (Which I hope Cashman goes after) Then Overbay is a keeper as Teixeira's back up & occasional DH.

I'm betting tonight lineup is as follows
1) Gardner CF
2) Suzuki RF
3) Cano 2B
4) Overbay 1B
5) Nunez SS
6) Hafner DH
7) Stewart C possible Romine if Joe is worried about Texas Heat
8) Mesa LF
9) Cruz 3B

I was wrong, same as yesterday

Wish I never said anything. Overbay was brutal last night.
