I don't think we allowed to trade our draft pick 2 years in a row, which is why "draft rights" are traded during the draft. So, if we trade a 1st rounder, it's probably the 2016 pick.

I'll be disappointed that another team chose not to gift us a player who would be an obvious upgrade over what we'd be giving up and who would help us in the playoffs.

Well said. It has been frustrating to watch the teams we are competing with in the West bolster their rosters with the likes of Green, Waiters, Rondo, Brewer, J Smith (FA). Getting better w/o having to give up much sounds pretty good to me.
