Many of you know about her, but a quick synopsis for those who don't.
Malala Yousafzai is a 16 year old girl who, starting at around 11 years old became an activist for education, specifically the right for women to be educated in Pakistan, writing a blog that was published on BBC. Since then she spoke out more until in 2012 the Taliban shot her in the head and neck. She lived, is doing well, and wrote a book "I Am Malala". Her name has become a rallying cry for those supporting women, education, and progress in Pakistan and many other places the world over. She has been nominated for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize.
Here is a John Stewart interview of Malala, take a gander at how awesome a human can be. Also shows just how oppressed people are there by the same people we hate, the terrorists, taliban and other extremist Muslim groups. It's why we should keep in mind that there is a difference between the extremists and the rest of the society over there.
