...Manny ended up being an embarrassment to the Sox while Theo was GM there, and things were just as bad with the Dodgers...why would he still want to align himself with a total ass hat like Manny ?

Why else would he bring back this clown that caused some much embarrassment to the Red Sox Org.

Saw Manny and that ignorant Redneck Kevin Millar together on MLB earlier this evening. Evidently they are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Winning the '04 Series. Needless to say something We'd all like to forget.
 
The only worse comparable event for me, in 04, was major spinal surgery...Tho' that was beyond description when it came to pain, surgery paled compared in comparison to the Bozox Series.

I'd think, Manny may of found Peace with his God. Atoned for his sins and indiscretions. Tho' I doubt Fans will be as forgiving as God, or even a Priest...! Manny no matter how hard he tries, cannot atone to his fans. Perhaps his fans can forgive him, as a human being, off the field, as to err is human.

On the Field, as a ballplayer, guilty of obsessive repetitive cheating, Forgiveness is just not in a Fans Vocabulary, not for on the field antics.
 
60+ year old fans may not be forgiving. But the younger generations of fans with short attention spans today?
