he could end up in LA. Just don't think he's on the par or level as "the man" in a major market. He's still not an elite alpha player. I mean at best he's basically Pau Gasol in his prime. He'd be a good second banana to a real superstar like a Durant and LeBron if they end up in LA.

Why does Love for Gasol make a "lot of sense"? Gasol is washed up. He's old. He is still making a ton of money. Why would Minnesota trade arguably the best power forward in the game for a guy who isn't even an All-Star anymore?

Sorry to spoil your little dream in Minny were not only is Rubio better then Rose but Love is a defensive Juggernaut. EVERYONE nowadays who has a player option and who has no doubt they will get another max contract uses that option. You'll have Love for 3 years and a chance to sign him after that.

That trade is just highway robbery for the Lakers. Gasol who is over the hill with Tendinitis in both knees and a game that has deteriorated faster then DamesGotTheGame's credibility, is not a person teams will give up All-Star level assets for. No reason for Minny to trade for a center anyways when they have peko.

Gasol can team up with Spanish teammate Rubio. Gasol is a proven winner. Love is not. The Wolves instantly get better. Love went to college in LA, he wants to play in LA, and the Lakers like picking up "stars." They'll be so happy with Love until the games start and the losses start piling up again.
