Marijuana: Criticize it or Legalize it?

But that's the point of knowing the history of these laws and discussing them. The pillars of this law are too weak to withstand any sort of significant public interest. And we can stop wasting money and lives, which the U.S. is showing more and more aptitude for lately.

I know the history of the law, it's all complete bullsh**. I'm not just saying that because I'm a marijuana activist or something, it's just idiotic why the law is in place. It's all good government American propaganda nonsense. I really don't see the point in discussing the history of the law 75 years ago when the war on drugs has been in full force for the past 35 years and the government foucses in on a drug that does nothing more than make someone giggly and hungry while heroin use is inclining in this country at the same time. Every drug ad on TV is about pot.

There is really no reason its illegal. I hope I live to see the day it's legalized. Other countries in the world have legal amounts(and their countries arent falling apart)

I've never seen a really good reason for why it should be illegal. I don't smoke it, but if people want to smoke it, let them go ahead and do it.

We need to vote a good prez to win president who would legalize it. elect nas for president and he would. but the 2006 vote thing doesn't matter anymore. People are stupid to just look at two parties. There are a sh*t load of parties in the election, if it was spread out it would be better for the country.

I think it has a possibility of being legalized or decriminalized within the next 15 years or so. I've seen a video before that disproved the theory that marijuana impairs driving skills. someone did a driving test, then smoked, then did the same test, and they actually did it better when they were high. I know it doesn't really effect my driving. one time I drove with my mom in the car, and she actually complimented my driving afterwards.I think the main problem is that the government wants to tax it, but people can grow it in their house/backyard. So what I think should be done is that there is a law against growing, but not against possessing it.to be honest, I would be okay with the decriminalization. Too many people are in jail for marijuana, it's ridiculous. There are soo many worse things people could be thrown in jail for.
