I agree with you 1honestfan, those players I listed can't hurt us to get them some play. We need line help and a 6'8 320 kid with an anger issue might be just perfect against Colorado, Cal and OSU.

If you're happy with a 80th or worse D Stomp fine, but don't expect anyone else to buy the hogwash you're saying year after year as this is what "Oregon IS". To much money is in this program now, this is a major national brand, the D can't afford to be this mediocre anymore and big business "NIKE" wont allow it either!

you are proven completely wrong yet again and react by lashing out at opinions which were proven correct calling them hogwash  more classic funnies from Swimblock!

Besides being unable/unwilling to own up to being proven full of it (again), you've completely misconstrued my take (again) in this thread saying I'm happy with the results... which of course I've repeatedly expressed being anything but. I just don't happen to share your opinion that it's the system to blame as the system has been proven to work great. I blame the current players for not executing, specifically the LBs for being out of position and missing tackles. I've been hammering on this in the very thread and dating back to last season yet somehow you'll have us believe it's flown over your head and I'm thrilled that they've struggled on D. Again, Helfrich stated WSU gained 200+ yards after missed tackles, which is consistent to what I observed. MH has the D working on the basics of wrapping up this week in practice. So once again I'm siding with how the coaches view things, while it's your position that you know better then the coaches. Gee, who to side with... the wildly successful professionals in charge or some random internet poster who can't keep facts straight and is regularly proven to be dead wrong?

I just had a little thought.....For years Oregon was cosidered small and all we ever heard was that we needed to get bigger. For the last 3-4 years, that's all we have done is get bigger in every area. Is it possible that we are getting to big (In some areas) where we are losing out on players who are smaller but have played small their who lives and thus have better vision and a bigger motor? Are we playing a system that doesn't really work for the bigger, taller, slower players? Do we need to consider moving the pendulum back the other way just a bit?

80th or worse D and one that no top ten team fears seems like a success to you Stomp then no need to banter.... Your calling card is in your yearly DENIAL! Hell the national sports media is calling out the Ducks for lack of D. Guess you know more than guys paid to analyze too? I'll take my internet posting ass who played multiple levels of football over your status quo dinosaur non evolved kiss ass yesteryear dribble any day! Fair enough snowboarder?

SO where are my DT's mouth? Can't find any yet for the last 4 years or none that fit your spin you call a debate? How ya like Bair going to the O line do to his height and arm length? To tall to get under pad level on the D huh? Hmm... maybe he's a born O lineman.... Shuck and Jive some more mouth maybe you'll convince "US" you know how to put on shoulder pads some day!

The fact you can call an 80th or worse nationally ranked D shooting par for Oregon with the type of national recognition this program has today is a sign of your obvious mediocrity. Times have changed and so has the program we call Oregon Football. A defense known for being Bend Don't Break and you thinking that as a success over the years should render you opinion on these topics moot hence forth!

Break out the Swiffer's I'm talking to an antique here!

But hey you do have me on Swim Block now don't ya Grandpa? EWWWW! Burn!

Hey look another thread ruined. Thanks yo.
