Webster to see fine?
3:41
PM ET
Martell Webster | Trail Blazers Top Email
NBA players are not allowed to tweet during games. This time period includes 45 minutes before games and up until players' media obligations are done after a game. Once they've talked to the media after games, players are free to get their social media on.
And as Blaze of Love pointed out last night during the the Blazers' game, Martell Webster's new Twitter account might have just netted him a fine because it was updated during the game.
It clearly wasn't Webster updating the account, but rather somebody from his foundation as the tweet read this: "The MW23 Foundation organizers are cheering Martell on! Let's go!!"
But as we've seen previously this season, a fine will come no matter if it's the player himself updating it, someone else or an automated service.
They're responsible for their own account, no matter who's doing the tweeting.
