the Duck chat site folks claiming inside knowledge seem to have been saying that this was the way it was heading and that things do not look good for JM... lots of speculation that he's probably done as a Duck.

if he really is guilty this would rank among the all time dumbest acts... just inconceivably stupid

Even as a Beaver fan, I'm troubled by these events taking place. Hopefully this is the last we hear of problems for both programs (and not because they've been hidden by the universities, but because they don't happen anymore).

If he's convicted of a felony he can't even in play in the CFL.
 
Ducks are fucked. I wish I could feel bad for them, but I don't. I hate the Ducks and this is funny to me.
 
I spoke with a student at UO who knows JM and she "thinks" he was helping to retreive a laptop that was allegedly stolen already, and that maybe they putzed it up. That's what she heard, but can't state for sure if it's the truth.

As for me, I'd let the whole thing play it's way out, get all the definate facts before making a decision as to his disposition with the team. I think he's entitled to it in this case- unless Kelly knows something we don't, which is entirely probable.

Isn't it based on the dollar amount of the item(s) stolen?

But in the end I'm sure they'll reach a plea deal and it will be reduced to a misdemeanor.
 
I wonder how much fun legacy weekend is going to be at the SAE house this next fall. A bunch of current & former SAE members getting together, having some beers and going off to a Duck football game together.

Burglary in the 2nd degree is a Class C felony. Theft may be based on property value, burglary is different.

Good. As a student at UO this shit needs to happen. Chip has been helping recruit players regardless of their character and if you are on campus every day like I am you guys would see how crazy it gets at night. There were some fights and people got jumped last year, but this year it's getting crazy how much more there are.

Maybe Kelly will figure it out...

the football players are causing all this? i find it hard to believe the football team is causing ruckus through out the whole campus?

it's not always going to be the football players themselves, it can be their posse or entourage.

Major action is needed to turn this around, or it will cost U of O millions upon millions in donations.

1. Whoever recruits for the Ducks needs to be fired ASAP.

2. Ducks need to stop showing favoritism for their QB over other players already let go for lesser issues.

3. Scholarships involved should be forfeited and given to serious students seeking an education, preferably NOT athletes.

No but with some of the players comes some of there friends that go to the CC around campus...It's not all the football players fault, but a lot of does have to do with them.

Then you woke up from your utopian fantasy viewpoint of college football, realized that it's a business and that winning equals money, and realize that every player with starting ability will get a slap on the wrist, be back on the field, and you and I will be cheering their names on Saturday like nothing ever happened. University of Florida players have been arrested 17 times in the last 5 years. Urban Meyer doesn't have a problem, because he has championship rings. It's that simple, and if you think it's any different, pull your head out.
