Mateen Cleaves in Nets Training Camp

Jim Harrick, who coached the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League last season, reports that one of his players, Mateen Cleaves, is in the Nets training camp. Cleaves, a 6'-2" combo guard, has played for four NBA teams, most recently the Sonics in 2005-06. He turns 30 on Friday. Cleaves, who led Michigan State to the NCAA championship in 2000, averaged 16.5 ppg and 9.0 apg for Bakersfield last season. He becomes the second D-Leaguer to be invited to camp, joining Rod Benson</div>
