A decades-old sports superstition is also making its way into the election predictions. According to CNN, the outcome of the Washington Redskins football game before Election Day has correctly predicted the outcome of the presidential race 17 out of the last 18 elections. A Redskins loss has predicted victory for the challenger, and a Redskins win has given the election to the incumbent. The Washington Redskins lost to the Carolina Panthers in their last game before the election.
