According to a Japanese Newspaper, Tanaka will be posted. It will obviously signal the beginning of the process that will hopefully land Tanaka in pinstripes. Between that news and the pending resolution to Arod's suspension, may allow the Yankees the luxury of adding key players knowing their financial position. I believe that the 189 will be in the rear view mirror. If Tanaka becomes available, they may see him as the missing key piece to a championship which could lead to Balfour and more.

...I'd like to actually hear something official from Tanaka's team for once...I mean this story keeps going back and forth.

...even with the hype, there's always a chance this guy could be another Kei Igawa...but still, I've watched a good bit of film of this guy and his arm angle, arm speed, and pitching motion are almost identical, regardless of whether he's throwing a FB or a splitter...possibly a devastating combination for opposing batters.

...if he does indeed post, the Yanx don't need to mess around...lock up Hiro the "hero".

...yeah, saw where it is finally official...good news for the Yanx, I hope.

Be nice if our old buddy Hideki Matsui could grab Tanaka for a couple hours over a good meal and convince him that the Yankees are the team to be with.

Or kuroda or ichiro. imo the yanks do not let themselves get outbid for tanaka and therefore no one outbids them the salary cap be damned. And ues since were over pick up another goodie like a closer like balfour and whatever the hell else we need.....Oh baby, let the REAL SPENDING BEGIN LOL

at what price? I have seen some crazy numbers thrown out there...

Getting him may be too steep for these Yankee pockets.
We can only hope.

There is no such thing as 2 deep for yankee pockets if they really want someone and I think they really want tanaka. And will make some of the money back with the japan market. This kid sounds like he wants the challenge and the big time and the time and challenge doesn't get bigger than the yankees. Only place where cashman excels as his MR. Tanaka, i'll see that teams bid and raise it another 10 mill. LOL

How does this guy compare to hideki irabu.... remember he was the Nolan Ryan of Japanese baseball
