MB's idea where the Rudy rumor was started

This Rudy Fernandez story, about him being upset that the Blazers are chasing Turkoglu, has some people concerned. I don't happen to be one of them. As I've said, I think this is an agent attempting to use the emotion of fans to get his client an extension. Or, this agent could be upset that the Blazers aren't chasing another of his free-agent clients (Andre Miller, in this case). This happens all the time, so I'm not bagging on Andy Miller (no relation). He's just doing what agents do. The interesting thing about playing this card here is, it seems to have backfired on him, at least a bit.

It seems that MB probably has some second hand info but of course can't say who gave it to him. I would hate to be Andy Miller trying to negotiate with Rudy in the future.

I listened to it. In no way did Rudy come across as pissed. He sounded concerned about his role or playing time, but what I got out of his words is that his ego needs a little stroking by the Blazers FO. It was just one short year ago that Rudy was the guy being courted, wined and dined, etc... Now that he is a Blazer he may be missing that.

I do agree that MB is a honk. But I have also spoken to him in person many times and is a great guy, genuine and likable. I do not think he is toeing some company line here. He has probably talked to Casey or Kaleb and is passing along the scoop because he reads these boards and he also reads the posts on his blog.
