All I can say is...what!?!?!
So let me get this straight.
John Kerry = 252 EV
So McCain has surrenedered Iowa and New Mexico previously.
So
Kerry + Iowa + New Mexico + Colorado = 273
This is exactly one of the maps Obama drew up that he could win without Florida/Ohio, and the McCain campaign is handing him this map. Doesn't make a bit of sense. There plan is to win Pennsylvania's 21 EV's.
I've also heard that McCain is ready to surrender in Virginia, which would put Obama up to 286 EV's. So in the case that he is surrendering both, he could potentially win by limiting Obama to 265 if McCain is able to steal Pennsylvania.
The problem? Pennsylvania is leaning Obama heavily. Colorado and Virginia were closer than Pennsylvania has been. I think the McCain campaign sees going after one state is easier than two...but go after the ones that have been past Republican states, they will be easier to hold.
With this decision, I just don't see any feasible way for McCain to win the presidency. The pollster average has McCain down 15.3% in Pennsylvania on average, there is no way he can come back from down that much.
