...I know his bat will eventually come alive but has anyone else watched him work behind the plate? Being an ex-catcher, I sure have and compared to others, I can see why pitchers love this guy. Seems to be doing well calling pitches, positioning and giving a good target, and needless to say, a great framer of pitches.
...could be a coincidence but just maybe he's influencing some of the good pitching we've seen thus far.

...now if only his bat finally awakens.

Now when the pitchers can consistently hit his mitt we'll be in business.

...Sabathia has had a hard time doing that very thing so far...Nova did it too the other night. He was throwing strikes but not hitting the corners...seemed like everything was over the middle of the plate...and ML hitters love pitchers throwing batting practice.

I am chalking up his current batting (or lack thereof) to changing leagues...

The acquisition of McCann was an immediate improvement for this pitching staff. He was right on it with Pineda last night. I was glad to see the Yankees get this guy and the man has demonstrated a great attitude. Saw that Smoltz interview and the man was right on it. I guess the opposition is going to keep running shifts hope he starts going the other way. I want to see this team have a "You don't f@@k with the New York Yankees.

Glad to see McCann have a nice day at the dish today, especially at Lackeys expense.

He is built like the old time bruiser catchers,
in the mold of Johnny Bench....John Blanchard.

McCann is one of the players you don't worry about
