‘Melo: “I Thought I Was Traded”

When the Nuggets’ front office called Carmelo Anthony on July 16, ‘Melo thought they were phoning to tell him he was traded, and maybe to the Nets “There was a lot of trade talk about me going to Jersey or Detroit. My name was out there on the block,” he told HoopsWorld. Instead, the call was about the Nuggets’ decision to trade Marcus Camby to the Clips. Anthony admits he was relieved.

old news but Melo would of been nice to have in Brooklyn. Well at least we have a shot at LeBron. Still, if we could of gotten Melo for RJ, Marcus Williams and Krstic who all left, we would of had a nice squad:
