ESPN is reporting Amare might be out for the season due to an eye injury he had surgery on today! Wow!

That's too bad. 8 weeks may be a minimum. I remember when Sugar Ray Leonard had a detached retina; it needs to completey be fixed or one shot to the eye could cause permanent damage.
Yup.Wasn't he supposed to wear googles?
Stoudemire suffered a partially torn iris early in training camp in October after being inadvertently poked in the eye by then-teammate Boris Diaw. Stoudemire suffered no damage to the retina or cornea at that time, but said he would likely wear protective goggles for the rest of his career to keep his eyes safe. But Stoudemire didn't stay with the goggles long, saying they compromised his on-court comfort level.
Yup.

Well, you just affected your teams playoff chances buddy..
Chances are if he would have been traded he wouldn't have been playing in that game to get injured.I do think this will really hurt Phx's chances to make the playoffs. I'm guessing a lot of teams wanting Amare for a playoff push are probably glad they didn't trade for him now.
There were nine teams (IMO) with a shot at making the playoffs in the West. Now there are eight. Welcome to the playoffs, Portland.
