Bosh and Wade heading to Miami

Where now does Lewhore go?

NY with Amare
Chicago with Rose
Cleveland with no one
If Bosh can get a S&T done between Miami and Toronto Lewhore could go there as well

Celtics can still take them. Who else they going to get? Not LeBron, I'd bet a large chunk. He's not going to join Wade on Wade's team and forever be one ring behind.

Re: Breaking: Wade and Bosh to Miami, LeBron joining Happy Days

They can't afford another max guy, unless they get rid of Beasley, who they couldn't give away. Unless some how Toronto loses their balls and give into Bosh and S&T taking back Beasley and Chalmers.

Seems like Wade and Bosh is the duo and now LBJ is off to make his own team, probably NY if I had to guess.

If they don't come to Portland, keep them in the East! Now lets hope Boozer goes East, joining Stodemire's exodus....and our road to the WCF's just got a little easier.

Let's start by getting out of the first round, shall we?

It won't take Miami long to fill in the pieces around them. Beasely is not bad. They can still sign another free agent. Vets who have no rings will flock to South Beach to join in.

If we're healthy, we're a Western Conference championship team if not an NBA Finals contender.

Vegas has 6 teams with better odds and 2 with the same as the Blazers in the Western Conference alone. It was about the same last year and as expected, we made a first round exit.

Re: Bosh and Wade heading to Miami

Could you imagine Lebron holding a one hour "look at me" special on ESPN only to shit on his hometown and rub their noses in it? I just don't see that happening ... but if it did? Goddamn, he'd become maybe the most vilified figure in professional sports; at the very least he'd never be able to show his face in Ohio again.

Re: Breaking: Wade and Bosh to Miami, LeBron joining Happy Days

I wouldn't mind seeing LeBron go to NY, and create a LBJ/Amare vs. Wade/Bosh vs. Boston vs. Orlando. That'd make the East pretty entertaining.

They can get 1 or 2 of Haywood/Felton/Mike Miller/Redick and keep Beasley to come off the bench. They will have a lot of flexibility with singning just 2 max guys.

According to who, you?

Nothing points to it other than fans. Not "experts" not Vegas (the real experts)

I hope you're right, Maxie, but don't state it like it's fact or something

Re: Breaking: Wade and Bosh to Miami, LeBron joining Happy Days

According to who, you?

Both of us. They were a 50 win team despite losing three of their four best players for significant amounts of time.

I'd like to see James stay with the Cavs or go to NY with Amare now. As long as he doesn't go to Miami, I'm okay with these two teaming up together.

Perhaps you didn't read the "If he's healthy" part. If we show that we are healthy, the Vegas people will adjust their odds accordingly. It's not like they are going to keep their odds the same the whole season - they adjust them game to game!

The only odds I see Vegas laying on the Blazers related to their health is whether or not they will indeed stay healthy.

Re: Breaking: Wade and Bosh to Miami, LeBron joining Happy Days

Both of us. They were a 50 win team despite losing three of their four best players for significant amounts of time.

At the start of the year when everyone was healthy the team couldn’t integrate the skills of their top players. Brandon especially and even LaMarcus had trouble sharing the ball and did not like that Oden was a focus of the post game. Players were complaining about playing time. The talent of the players was not stacking; but interfering with one another. The previous year when everybody was healthy the team lost in the first round. The injuries helped this team in many aspects, it defined roles, gave players more shots and better stats.

Saying the team won 50 games without three of their top four is a total exaggeration. Brandon, LaMarcus, and Miller were healthy for the majority of the regular season; they along with Oden were our top 4 players. So we missed one of our top 4.

I think this signals that LeBron is staying in Cleveland, and Bosh knows it.

Portland started Juwan Howard at center for 1/3 of the season and Martell Webster at SF for 60% of the season.

50 wins was quite the accomplishment, and most national NBA figures gave praise to the Blazers for their season they had with their injuries, unlike you and others here, who seem to relish taking a dump on the team whenever given the chance.

What I like the best is people bitching about losing to the Suns in 6 games with Roy a shell of himself and Batum playing with one arm.

And no Oden, and no Przybill, and Rudy sand bagging it... Seriously, we could have played HCP and gotten better production.

I hope Dwight Howard eats Bosh, Etc.

I respect Boston but I think they're done. Should be a three team conference between Cleveland-Orlando-Miami if I'm guessing right.

It really depends on who they surround Wade and Bosh with. Bosh wasn't exactly carrying the Raptors to the promised land last season. He's a good player, but I have a strong suspicion that Bosh and Wade won't be enough to put them over the top.

I think of it as a microcosm of Gasol-Kobe, except the East will be far more competitive at the top and they lack depth. So they could be comparable as a duo, but maybe not as successful as a team.

They're not dynasty material, but they have a little core to build around. I think Cleveland can also land someone decent once Antawn's contract is expiring, or who knows maybe this year.

Maybe Cleveland matches up better with Miami?

Still a lot of be decided obviously. One thing about Miami is that LeBron also seems to play well against them, their lack of Defense could hurt.

Yeah, but LA didn't have to give up the farm to get Gasol. The Heat gutted their team to sign more than one free agent, and now they have to start from scratch and build around Wade/Bosh. That's great and everything, but this isn't MLB. They don't have unlimited funds to bring in talent. It's going to be difficult to put a decent team around those two without any cap space or valuable trade assets.

I hope he stays in Cleveland.

P.S.

Fuck you, LBJ, for playing this out like you were the center of the universe.

Give LBJ some credit, he IS the King of Akron you know. Betta respect.

Whoa Bro, I hope he stays in Cleveland too, but I'm pretty sure the Media put him in the center of the sports universe.

Re: Breaking: Wade and Bosh to Miami, LeBron joining Happy Days

At the start of the year when everyone was healthy the team couldn’t integrate the skills of their top players. Brandon especially and even LaMarcus had trouble sharing the ball and did not like that Oden was a focus of the post game.

Roy and Andre integrated their games later in the season, so I think assuming that early season issues would have forever been problems if everyone had played together is unreasonable.

Saying the team won 50 games without three of their top four is a total exaggeration. Brandon, LaMarcus, and Miller were healthy for the majority of the regular season; they along with Oden were our top 4 players. So we missed one of our top 4.

Roy missed significant time (17 games in the regular season) including, for all intents and purposes, the playoffs. Yes, he returned, but nowhere near full speed, so Portland essentially played the series without him (he had a PER below 5 for the playoffs). I was talking about Batum, but you're right that Miller might be top-four. He and Batum were close. So Portland absolutely lost 3 of their top 5 players for significant amounts of time, and arguably 3 of their top 4.
