Just wanted to remind everyone about the time I was at Toys’R’Us as a kid at Christmas and saw Sheed make this other kid cry when he told him he wouldn’t sign an autograph.
I was glad my dad got his autograph at the gas station before that… I thought “Oh man, that could be me”.
I’m actually a big Sheed fan tbh. Ball don’t lie. Cut the check. Dudes a legend.

I can celebrate that.
Normally hang out with my cat but got invited to dinner. My cynical side wonders if it's because of my desserts. Buche de Noel in process. Waited a bit too long to roll cake and it cracked but frosting will cover the crack. Eggnog in process and bourbon balls ripening.

A bourbon ball is midway between cookie and candy. First make chocolate wafer cookies and grind to crumbs. Grind pecans and powdered sugar, add corn syrup and bourbon and mix to paste. Add this mixture to cookie crumbs and mix together. Last step messy so best to wear disposable gloves. Shape tablespoons of mixture into balls and roll in granulated sugar three times. Set aside in closed container to ripen at least a week and up to a month, flavor improves. They can also be made with rim or brandy.
