Meyers Leonard's beloved dog Bella passed away on Christmas Eve

So sorry to hear this. Losing pets anytime sucks. Losing one that young and on Christmas Eve is the worst.
 
I went on Twitter to pass on condolences (losing a pet is always very difficult)...and found I was blocked. Seriously? I've never tweeted Meyers for anything that I can think of let alone something that would render me blocked. Is this part of that hyper-sensitivity people talk about?

Yes. Yes it is. It has been discussed by many on Twitter how easy it is to get blocked by Meyers, even if you've never used his handle in a single tweet. The prevailing theory is that someone with access to his account (presumably his wife) actively goes out and searches for his name in tweets, and blocks anybody who says anything negative about him in order to prevent him from accidentally stumbling across something that could damage his psyche.

This is going to seem kinda bad but I'm almost glad it was something like that. With the timing my guess was that someone fed her something she shouldn't have eaten. It sucks either way but I'm glad Meyers or family doesn't have to feel guilty.

I bet she got the best care possible. Good on them.

Not exactly dissuading the 'soft' label some have given then. My goodness, if that is the case, success is not very likely in the future. Success is about overcoming obstacles, not always trying to avoid them.

If she thinks him reading 'fans' bashing him might negatively affect his performance, and hence his future earnings, that is a very rational thing for his spouse to do. I would hope however, that she's wrong about that. Wouldn't it be nice if he played with a chip on his shoulder?

With that said and how Meyers is on the trade block and seems to have his days numbered, shouldn't this just be posted in the around the nba thread?

Mrs PokerDog got to meet Bella when he was was a puppy.
 
I'm sorry for those folks losing a close pet on Xmas...I thought the elf costumes were bad but this is really sad.

I'm not usually an a-hole. At least I dont think so. I couldn't help myself. I'm going to burn in hell for it I'm sure. I actually love dogs and this is indeed very sad. I have lost many dogs myself. And my thoughts are with the Leonard family. But, damn the oppurtunity was there. I had to take it.

I saw the opportunity as well. Left it alone. This is worth at least one get out of jail free card in OT section for me. The next time I think to censor myself, I'm not.
