Mike Bibby who was just acquired from the Washington in a 5 player deal is expected to reach a buyout Miami and Portland will have interest

Interesting. He would help us in the backup role, but I think he would choose Miami over us.

Bibby > Ford.

Ford is younger and injury prone. Bibby is washed up. You make the pick. I think he'll go to Miami though.

How many open roster spots does MIA have? They are already linked to Troy Murphy....

Does it matter? How does Miami sign a player when they are over the cap already? Oh wait the NBA will find a way for them. Nevermind.

I think I read they would have to open up a spot for Murphy even.

Oh wait, with vet minimum deals all teams have at their disposal. Oh no, it's a conspiracy!!

Have you guys seen Bibby lately? i have not seen Ford much this season, but Bibby runs like he 50

How many do they get because they brought in Miller, and then Stackhouse. Then when Udonis haslem went down they cut Stackhouse and brought in Dampier. Not to mention Carlos Arroyo. All these guys were signed after they packed their cap signing the big 3.

you can sign as many as you want. Every team can.

Frankly I'd rather have TJ Ford than Bibby if only because he's somewhat good friends with Aldridge and knows Camby too.

Bibby is shooting over 40% from three this year. He'd no doubt be a better fit. Being chums is all good and whatnot, but it doesn't mean much on the court. Look at Patty.

I'd be fine with either though. Getting either for the vets min is a steal.

whoah your avatars are confusing

But, Bibby is buddies with Crash.

I should have been a little clearer. I don't care how good of friends they are, but Ford and LMA do work out together in the off-season so presumably Ford would be somewhat familiar with LMA's tendencies and might know how to get him the ball where and when he wants it better than Bibby. Secondly, Bibby is nothing much more than a spot up shooter at this point in his career; if we were still operating under the "building around Roy" model I agree that Bibby would be a nice fit, but frankly I'd rather have a guy who is capable of running a pick and roll with our bigs.
