What's the story? He didn't stand for another country's entrance into the Olympics.

A country has continuously threatened us with nuclear attacks?

His guest was a college student who was basically murdered by the country he did not stand for?

Its a story because its being viewed as a political statement by Pence. I think you summed up why he didn't stand but that doesn't make it not a political statement because its obvious to see why he wouldn't stand.

If he didn't stand for any other team than the USA, then it isn't a political statement.

If I accepted an invitation to sit with Magic Johnson and Jenny Buss in their private suite I would. While I hate the Lakers if I accepted such an invitation I would not shit on my hosts.
