- Jeremy Giambi, 47, who played in the MLB between 1998 to 2003, died at his parents home in Southern California on Wednesday
- Law enforcement sources told TMZ Giambi had committed suicide
- Giambi had played for for the Kansas City Royals Royals, Philadelphia Phillies, Oakland Athletics and Boston Red Sox
- His best season was in 2001 when he played alongside his brother, Yankees star Jason Giambi, on the Oakland Athletics
- Their season was captured in the 2003 bestseller 'Moneyball' and the subsequent 2011 Brad Pitt film of the same name
