VS.

RHP - Chi Chi Gonzalez (2016 debut)

Lineups to follow.............

Maybe you can bring the team some good luck...Lily tried but she may have lost her mojo.

...in addition to seeing the Yanx tonight, I'll also continue following one of the best young players in the game, Nomar Mazara.

From the fury of teams with winning records Good Lord deliver us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gardner -LF
Beltran -DH

Teixeira -1B
Castro -2B

...oh, uhh, uhh, hey Lil...how's things goin'? [turns, ducks, and runs for cover]
Just messing with you Ron, btw my record is 6-4 which isn't that bad. At least I got them over .500 if only for a day.

Good test for Yanks.
Texas with best record, top 3 in scoring and fourth best team ERA.

Here's something unusual:
Texas has league best SP ERA and worst bullpen ERA.

...sorry Lil...didn't realize you did that well...tell Rick he needs to pick up the pace or we'll vote his ass off the island.

Yankees had best score a lot this evening, I have a feeling that Nova will completely shit the bed by the 6th inning. Was glad to see the Yankees are benching A-hole in certain situations but again moves too little too late, Release him.

I don't think he is ready to retire yet, but like you said the majority rules. :biglaugh:

Nova with his 5 inn starts and +5.00 ERA sucks.
Twice the Yanks took a lead and he gave it up the very next inn.
Yanks should just dump him and call up some kid.
I don't care if the kid gets roughed up- chances are fair he won't be any worse than Nova and he just might be better.

And McCann runs like he has a refrigerator and the kitchen sink on his back. How can a big strong young man be so dam slow?
This guy is a plus for the other team when he's on the bases.
Besides having horrible instincts and getting only a single when he hits a ball off the RCF wall, it takes him 5 minutes to complete his first step!

...^^^with all this team's problems you're whining about the fucking catcher not being very fast?....lmao,...what about the team OBP or OPS or other more important things?.

Yankees are winning the game but another classic '16 problem. 15 hits, six runs, lots of wasted opportunities tonight. Saw an ESPN side car blurb by Marchand. Said he asked Cashman if the Yankees would bring up Judge. Cashman gave the usual vague response well on one hand yada yada, but then again yada yada.

...lol...Chapman is wild, so Girardi dupes the Umps into ordering the tarp to be put on the field.

Joe the Genius strikes again● it's pouring as the 9th begins, Chapman walks the leadoff batter as it continues raining - then Girardi waits until Chapman goes 3-1 on the next batter before he goes out there and complains about the weather/field.
The asshole should've asked/complained for ground work on the mound AFTER the leadoff walk, or no later than after the first wild ball Chapman threw to the second batter instead of waiting until Chapman fell behind 3-1 to the second batter.
AND THE COUNT WAS 3-0 BEFORE CHAPMAN THREW THE FIRST STRIKE TO THE SECOND BATTER MEANING GIRARDI WAS WILLING TO WAIT UNTIL CHAPMAN WALKED THE FIRST TWO BATTERS BEFORE ACTING AS IF HE WAS "SMART" by calling for the grounds keepers....lmao

When they resume play, Joe the Genius has left no margin for error for Chapman after a delay and behind 3-1 on the count.

One bad pitch and the Yanks are probably looking at Texas having runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out after the SAC bunt.

I think we've seen something with Chapman, a rain delay, and runners on base in Baltimore couple weeks ago.

Girardi didn't "dupe" anyone.
It's his prerogative and totally understandable to the umps for him to complain about the playing conditions and safety of the players during a downpour, and he should've done done after Chapman walked the first batter as he was obviously struggling with his grip and footing.

Girardi''s complaint would've been just as valid after the first batter but he instead chose to wait until Chapman fell behind 3-1 on the NEXT batter.
Now when play resumes, Chapman could've had the opportunity to pitch to the second batter with a dry ball, better footing and the count being 0-0 or 1-0...but Joe the Genius had a different bright idea--> 3 balls, 1 strike.

Way to go Joe- you really put your player in a good position to succeed.
